Soda Ash

Soda Ash is the trade name for Sodium Carbonate (Na2CO3), a white finely crystalline hygroscopic powder known for its large application. The following are the main consuming sectors of soda ash:

  • Glass manufacturing
  • Detergents and soaps
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Metallurgical processes
  • Pulp and paper
  • Iron and steel
  • Aluminium cleaning compounds
  • Water softening and dyeing
  • In fiber-reactive dyes
  • Inorganic chemicals and other industries

There are mainly two grades of Soda Ash (light and dense). Generally, all grades have the same chemical composition but differ in their physical properties, such as bulk density, particle shape, and size.

Soda Ash is produced in two ways:

  • Natural Process: purified from the mined mineral “Trona”
  • Synthetic Process: Either through the Solvay or Hou processes

Soda Ash is the common name for Sodium Carbonate, is a chemical substance white in color, and its aqueous solution is clear and colorless. The Dense Soda Ash production is used in glass manufacturing and in a wide range of other products, such as powdered detergents and soaps, and rechargeable batteries, as well as being used extensively in metallurgical processes.

Soda Ash is the common name for Sodium Carbonate, is a chemical substance white in color, and its aqueous solution is clear and colorless. The Light Soda Ash is an important basic industrial alkali chemical used in soap and detergents, pulp and paper, iron and steel, aluminum cleaning compounds, water softening and dyeing, in fiber–reactive dyes, effluent treatment, and production of chemicals.

Dense Soda Ash

Soda Ash is the common name for Sodium Carbonate, is a chemical substance white in color, and its aqueous solution is clear and colorless. The Dense Soda Ash production is used in glass manufacturing and in a wide range of other products, such as powdered detergents and soaps, and rechargeable batteries, as well as being used extensively in metallurgical processes.

Light Soda Ash

Soda Ash is the common name for Sodium Carbonate, is a chemical substance white in color, and its aqueous solution is clear and colorless. The Light Soda Ash is an important basic industrial alkali chemical used in soap and detergents, pulp and paper, iron and steel, aluminum cleaning compounds, water softening and dyeing, in fiber–reactive dyes, effluent treatment, and production of chemicals.
